My designs

My graphic design roles have included working for a magazine publishers in England and working on projects for the University of Sussex and freelance work for other organisations.

I have mainly been involved with layout design, and the creation of newsletters, leaflets, posters, and print advertising. I have an in-depth or working knowledge of many computer programs such as QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat and experience of many others and web tools such as Dreamweaver.

Some highlights from my graphic design work include:

University of Sussex (2002 - 2006):

Designed fortnightly newsletter, the Bulletin, for University community using QuarkXpress, Photoshop and web content management systems (see 1st and 2nd pics below).

Designed one-off adverts and leaflets (see last pic). Part of small team coordinating redesign of University's visual identity by London-based graphic design agency (see 3rd and 4th pics for example of University identity and signage).

I then implemented many of the designs including University signage. Edited and redesigned various websites using WCM tools.





Unisex sexual health project (2000 - 2006): 

Designed various leaflets and posters and produced layout for several copies of the annual FreshFruit booklet using Quark, Photoshop, Acrobat and Freehand (see examples below).





Sussex Beacon health charity: (2003 - 2006):

Designed series of posters to advertise Sussex Beacon Brighton Half Marathon (see 1st pic). Also edited, selected photographs and oversaw design of regular newsletter. See below or click for link to newsletters.





Save the Routemaster campaign (2004- 2006):

Designed series of posters to publicise campaign to keep famous red London buses (see pictures below). Also managed website using WCM tools and Photoshop. 





Brighton Ourstory history charity (2004 - 2006): 

Laid out regular newsletter using Quark and Photoshop and designed ad-hoc posters and leaflets. Click for link to newsletters.


GMC Publications (2001- 2002): 

Designed editorial and adverts using Photoshop, Quark and Illustrator for wide stable of popular hobby magazines and associated books. See picture 1 for example of advert for relaunch of MKN magazine.
